PowerSelect is a tool for selecting icons in Workbench by using search patterns. Using mouse, selecting specific files (JPG image files, project files, files starting with letter A, files created on a certain day, tagged files, etc.) among other files is a daunting task and could take minutes, while PowerSelect selects the files for you in seconds.
Making a selection is easy:
Open a disk or a drawer where you would like to select icons and press the PowerSelect hot key. In the PowerSelect GUI, define the search criteria: enter a search pattern and select the target to which the pattern search is applied. PowerSelect will select all the icons which match your criteria.
